Eyelid Surgery, Blepharoplasty, Dropped Eye Correction

Procedures of Eyelid Surgery

  2. The patient has to take a mild sleeping pill for relaxing during surgery.
  3. The surgeon performs local anesthetic injection.
  4. After activeness of anesthetic, the surgeon will cut eyelid along the determined line.

The excessive skin and fat will be removed and eyelid will be stitched as demanded before stitching external skin.

 

Lower Eyelid Surgery, Blepharoplasty

Wrinkles of lower eyelid, dropped eye or eye bag causes premature gaining of eyes and face whereas blepharoplasty will help to remove eye bag and wrinkles while firming lower eyelid giving bright eyes and young face.

 

 

Procedures of Lower Eyelid Surgery

  1. The surgeon determines the incision from lower eyelid to eye tip.
  2. The surgeon performs local anesthetic injection.
  3. A small incision is made to remove fat of lower eyelid and excessive skin helping to firm lower eyelid and preventing ectropion before stitching the incision with lower eyelid.

 

Post-Operative Care

  1. The patient has to do cold compression with refreshing towel or gel pack during the first 2-4 hours after surgery for contracting blood vessels.
  2. The patient has to sleep in fowler’s position and do cold compression during the first week after surgery for relieving swelling.
  3. The patient must be careful on coughing/ sneezing and should avoid violent coughing/ sneezing for preventing bleeding.
  4. The patient has to avoid eating food with salty taste in order to prevent swelling as well as avoid drinking and alcohol and stop smoking.
  5. After 24 hours, the patient is able to remove bandage and clean his/her face with a clean cloth soaked with clean water.
  6. After two days of surgery, the patient has to clean his/her face with mild soap water.
  7. After 3 days of surgery, the patient has to massage the incision from tear duct to eye tip until it is soft.
  8. After 5 days of surgery, stitches off will be performed.

 

Caution

  1. Minor Heamatoma may be occurred on upper or lower eyes.
  2. The patient should apply vanishing crème obtained from the surgeon regularly in order to avoid scar.
